Our solid oak plinths are handcrafted in Sussex from substantial pieces of real oak, celebrating the natural grain, knots, splits and character of the timber. Every one is different.
At 15cm square, the slim footprint makes this particularly useful where space is limited. Choose the height that works for your room and use it beside a sofa, beneath a favourite plant, next to the bed or as a pedestal for something worth displaying.

Properly solid oak
These aren’t lightweight boxes made to look like solid timber.
Each plinth is made from a substantial piece of oak, giving it genuine weight, strength and presence. As a guide, the 40cm-high version weighs around 15kg.
The timber is sanded by hand and can be supplied natural or finished with protective Osmo oil in a choice of tones.
Expect natural variation. Grain, knots, cracks, splits and other markings aren’t hidden — they’re part of what makes each piece unique.

Choose from heights of 15cm to 85cm, allowing the same simple design to work as anything from a low display block to a tall plant or lamp stand.

A great piece of oak
Excellent tall and chunky doorstop for my conservatory door that has a deep step down to patio. The extra tall size is perfect👍- also a very substantial weight which is great to keep door in place on windy days!
