Description
A piece of Brighton Pier, made useful again
Our Brighton Pier coat racks are made from genuine reclaimed decking that once formed part of Brighton Pier.
Years beside the sea have left their mark on the timber. Expect weathering, old fixing holes, knocks, grain variation and plenty of character. We keep those details wherever we can rather than sanding away everything that tells you where the wood came from.
Each board is cut to size, cleaned and sanded by hand in our Sussex workshop before we fit the cast-iron coat hooks.
The result is a solid, simple coat rack with a genuine connection to Brighton.
Choose your size
From a compact 2-hook rack for a small hallway through to our 10-hook version for larger spaces, each rack is made to order.
- 2 hooks – 40cm
- 3 hooks – 50cm
- 4 hooks – 60cm
- 5 hooks – 70cm
- 6 hooks – 80cm
- 7 hooks – 90cm
- 8 hooks – 100cm
Use it in the hallway for coats and bags, in the kitchen for aprons, or in a boot room for everything that usually ends up over the back of a chair.
Made from the real thing
This isn’t new timber made to look reclaimed.
Every rack starts with an original piece of Brighton Pier decking. That means no two boards will look exactly alike. Marks, old holes, colour and weathering will vary from piece to piece.
That’s exactly how we think it should be.
