Your tutor
Founder of Oceanic Woodstore
Oceanic Woodstore was born in 2023 from a passion for making.
Today, Jim spends his days creating handcrafted furniture and welcoming guests into his riverside studio, where people can slow down, learn a new skill and rediscover the simple pleasure of making something with their own hands.
Every visitor who walks through our workshop doors becomes part of that story. Whether you’re casting your first piece of resin art or building something with timber, you’ll leave with more than a finished piece—you’ll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and the quiet satisfaction that comes from creating something with your own hands. It’s this feeling, as much as the finished work itself, that we hope you’ll take home with you.

What to expect

Jim will share his passion for woodworking and the benefits of working with wood everyday.

To get the best outcome we take time to prepare, before pouring the resin.

We layer our resin pour using a handpicked selection of colours, dyes, powders & pastes.

Once everything is poured, we use a technique to bring the waves to life.

We'll finish, sand the edges of your coasters, then they are ready to either post or collect.
