New Forest Dining Table Reimagined
The Challenge
A couple moving to a new home near Lymington, on the edge of the New Forest, brought us their much-loved dining table. The problem? It no longer fit the size of their new dining room.
The Idea
Instead of parting with it, they wanted to adapt the table so it worked in their new space. And since they were refreshing it, they asked us to bring in a touch of resin art – inspired by the natural colours that surround them every day in the forest and along the Solent coast.
The Transformation
We carefully reduced the table to the right size while keeping its character intact. Then we added a flowing river of resin through the centre, echoing the deep blues and shifting greens of their local landscape. The resin was designed to reflect both water and woodland, tying the table to the place they now call home.
The Result
What was once a table that didn’t fit is now a perfect centrepiece for their dining room – unique, personal, and full of meaning. It’s a piece that carries their old memories into a new space while celebrating the beauty of their surroundings.
